Gwen is starting a new chapter in her life. She is graduating from college and about to take over the family business, whether she wants to or not. Not one to rock the boat, Gwen has always done what is expected of her and has always followed the rules her mother gives her. I felt really bad for Gwen because while she was a dutiful daughter, she never had the chance to experience life and do the things a young person her age would do. Boys don’t even figure into the equation nor going out having a good time. The one thing neither she or her mother didn’t count on was fate. Kane, a mysterious man, comes into the flower shop and she starts to see there is more out there than what her limited life has shown her.
I really enjoyed New Bloom…in some ways, Gwen reminded me of myself at that age. Her whole life revolved around making her parents happy…I can totally identify with that. I wanted to reach into the book and have a talk with Gwen and make her realize what is most important in life.
Ms.Gamrat did a great job with New Bloom and its characters. She brought the characters to life and as they felt emotion, I did too. As the story developed, I became more and more engrossed with the story. New Bloom ends on a cliffhanger and i’m hoping in the next book, Gwen continues to grow into being an adult that can stand up for herself as well as live up to her potential.
I’m not usually a fan of cliffhangers, but I’m looking forward to finding out more of this story, Gwen and Kane, her majorly overbearing mother…there’s just so much to figure out.
Congratulations to AE Gamrat. I give New Bloom 4 stars and can’t wait to read the next story.

Growing up writing was second nature that soon become a distant memory. Turning 30 (not saying when) that memory was going to be brought back to life. Lover of all books I try to grab my audience in and never let go. Hoping to get all these thoughts and ideas down for everyone to enjoy, even if it’s a moment or a life time.

This is the new chapter of my life story. Hope everyone enjoys!
